Demon's Souls is an action-RPG developed by From Software and released in 2009. It quickly became popular within hardcore circles for its relentlessly steep difficulty level, deep combat system, and unique multiplayer integration.
The Souls series is terrible at explaining its mechanics.
The rage quit is palpable. The ranting is palpable. The audience frustration is palpable.
The thing is, if it's really that and they're not screwing with us, Vinny or Rorie will be copilots and they know enough about the game to make things weird. There is a bunch of stuff you can use in demon's souls that break the game in profound ways. He could use a faith build and, if he goes in the right places and picks up the right items. crush the game easily. He can do the more obscure magic path and kill half the bosses in one hit. If he gets the meat cleaver a third of the way through and just laugh his way to the end. Or abuse second chance and be almost invincible.
Ian had finished the game before they started Vinny's Dark Souls run, and Rorie was farther into the game than Vinny was.
It isn't hard to not reveal those 'trade secrets' to people.
Probably DD/Pathfinder since everybody been on Matt to start it up again. He has been answering on Twitter that it would return soon / hopefully this week.

Yeah, they made it clear they would only purposefully say things if Vinny wanted help, and bonfire locations, and stuck to that pretty well.

I think so. I was in the chat, but then chat broke, so I reloaded the page and now the show is gone. Others have said it isnt showing up anymore as well, so it must be on their end.

I am disappointed it was exactly what the image suggested it'd be. I wanted something unexpected. Also something that hasn't been done to death already.
Looks like it. They've talked about shutting the servers down several times now, and every time they push it back further. It's just about confirmed that Demon's Souls's servers will be running until the heat death of the universe.

I opened this thread just to see what was going on now that we know what it is and saw this.
Isn't the simple answer to this "don't watch it"? If you thought that sitting through Dark Souls was not a pleasant experience, then why the fuck did you watch it?
If I only watched videos with games I cared about it would be a small fraction of the total and I probably wouldn't be a subscriber. I pretty much watch videos solely for the commentary and random conversations, the staff's gaming tastes are about as far apart as they can get from mine but I still come here everyday cause they're still very entertaining.
@forkboy: Speak for yourself, I'm hyped as shit to see them play through Demon Souls. I frankly can't believe this negativity. This community is better than this.
I loved it. Vinny trolling the crap out of Brad the whole time, and Brad having none of it. It was great. Best part was Vinny telling him that he could go get the good dragon and ride him across the bridge. That was amazing.

I was hoping it would be a mystery game, even once everyone figured out it was Demon Souls. I'm just tired of everyone streaming Souls games lately. Yes, yes don't watch it and all that jazz, but that doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion about this shit getting way over exposed. I feel the same way about Wind Jammers. Those games had their time. Let's try new stuff. There's tons of shit to play. Why stick to the same things?
