Overview
In many ways Pinball is a precursor to video games themselves, so it's only natural that several video game variants of the game would appear. Traditionally most pinball games have provided a very pure emulation of the game itself, however there have been some games which have gone to crazy extremes to mix up the genre. Such examples include Pinball Quest, which incorporated a storyline as well as RPG based elements. Another notable game is Pataank, which was a 3rd person game where players controlled the pinball itself rather than the flippers.
