Atlus Plays Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga Livestream
Today's turnout was pretty weak but accommodating host and super-nice-guy "Atlus Aram" Jabbari was also joined by members of the dev team in the chat itself. There was even someone from Bioware actively chatting in the stream (as a gamer but slyly mentioning DA/ME). The game itself actually looks quite good- a million times better than the lackluster Ego Draconis that this is a remastering of.
The event was great; it was very informative, the audience had fun, and there was a real interaction between us and the folks at Atlus as well as the developers of the game, Larian. The only problem was that there weren't as many people as there should've been!
I implore my fellow duders to not only view tomorrow and the day after's stream but take part in the chat as well; good times will be had :D
I'm sure there will be a Catherine live stream down the line too, but until then, let's enjoy this one!
edit: the stream ran for one hour.- not enough to tackle everything the game had to offer which is why i am definitely tuning in tomorrow
Already played through the PC version earlier this year, great game and stuttering(my main complaint) was fixed when raising fps cap to 60.
the 360 version runs quite well from what I've seen so far :]" Already played through the PC version earlier this year, great game and stuttering(my main complaint) was fixed when raising fps cap to 60. "
edit: OMG POST 666
HAIL SATAN, BEELZEBUB, LUCIFER BWAHAHA
Yeah , there was a lot of fun stuff." Damn, I forgot this was tonight. I'll have to be sure to catch it tomorrow. "
- Someone from Bioware was there
- Aram reading chatters' names, including one BanjoKazooie69 which brought a bad mental image to all of our heads
- Devs from Belgium dropping in (it was 2-3 AM their time!!)
- Questions about being able to romance and fornicate with dragons acknowledged and laughed at
" How's this game fair against Two Worlds II, been looking for another rpg to play at least until the Witcher 2 comes out. "I would say it looks like it feels better- yeah, if you're looking for an RPG to hold you off until TW2 this is totally it in my opinion
This game is much better than TW2, although it has a slow start. The game has some substance while TW2 was the most shallow RPG I have played in a long time.
no , he is not HAL" Wait, so is Aram Jabbari officially HAL? Officially? "
he is ATLUS A.R.A.M.
Advertising, Resorces, And Marketing
Not sure how many giant bomb guys showed up but it was a great show. Atlus gave us lots of feedback, showed off the game, and the people from Larian who developed it answered tons of questions. If you care at all about the game try to make it tomorrow nights stream it should be pretty interesting.
" I'll have to download the demo and check it out. I never got around to playing Ego Draconis, but between the bad reviews and my friends saying to save my money, I'll assume I wasn't missing much. I've been looking forward to checking this out, though. "This is the same game with a few catches. It comes packed with the expansion that adds on another 30 hours to the game, has totally overhauled the graphics engine, combat balancing, loot, all the players different skills, and of course includes a ton of bug fixes. As far as the graphics go I can tell you that I played the original games demo and even though the stream was only running around 640x380 or so you could tell the lighting effects especially were massively improved.
