Overview
Dragon Ball Z: Buyuu Retsuden, loosely translated to "Dragon Ball Z: Valorous Legend", is a 2D sci-fi fantasy fighting game developed by TOSE and published by Bandai for the Sega Mega Drive in Japan on April 1, 1994.
A fighting game adaptation of the Dragon Ball manga and anime series, Buyuu Retsuden is heavily based on the Super Famicom games Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden and Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2. While the game does not include a dedicated Story Mode, it includes characters and locales from both the "Namek Saga" and "Android Saga" parts of the Dragon Ball Z storyline.
It was later released in both France and Spain in June 1994 under the name Dragon Ball Z: L'Appel du Destin (loosely translated to "Dragon Ball Z: The Call of Destiny").
