Overview
Dream Engines: Nomad Cities is a survival city-building game where players build a flying city while defending it from constant attacks. It is developed and published by Suncrash for PC (Windows). It will be released on Steam Early access in 2021.
Gameplay
The game combines city-building, automation and action-RPG elements in a unique setting.
Players play the role of an overseer of a flying city. They will choose where to land their city, and then control a steampunk robot to explore the area around the city, find resources, and clear it from hostile creatures. These resources are then used to expand the city with houses, industry, and defenses. As the city grows, its industry can be used to craft better equipment for the player's character, research new technologies, upgrade its infrastructure and improve its overall efficiency.
Dark creatures periodically attack the city, and the players must defend it through defensive structures and / or manually fighting using their robot character. The enemies grow stronger and stronger as long as the city stays in place, eventually the players are forced to launch the whole city into the air, and fly it to a new area where its safer.
