Overview
Dutch was the leader of his own gang, appropriately called Dutch's Gang, which consisted of
Red Dead Redemption protagonist
John Marston,
Bill Williamson, and
Javier Escuella. Dutch slowly started going insane which lead to the downfall of his gang.
When John Marston takes care of Bill Williamson and Javier Escuella, Agent Edgar Ross refuses to return him to his family even after he did what he was told. Instead, he orders Marston to take out Dutch, who has emerged from hiding. Marston, along with a posse of U.S. Marshals, assault the bank that he was seen in. Dutch is corner, but escapes after shooting an innocent woman in the head and running away. Eventually, however, they find his hideout and Marston assaults it with the aid of the U.S. Army. Dutch is once again cornered, this time on a cliff, but intentionally throws himself over the edge in an act of suicide.
