Earth

Earth is a video game location that appears in 1080 games

Home world of humanity.

Overview

Earth is a relatively small planet orbiting its primary sun, Sol, at a distance of about 150 million kilometers. It completes a single orbit in about 365 days, and it completes a rotation about its axis once every 24 hours. Its surface is 71% covered in saltwater oceans, and it's tilted at 23.4 degrees away from the plane of its orbit. Earth is almost always considered to be the home planet of the human race, and its importance varies greatly, depending on the setting and story of the specific game it's featured in.

The Earth weighs about 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilograms, it's radius is about 6,400,000 meters, and it is pulled along by a star that moves it over 50 million kilometers each and every day.

Notable Appearances

Supreme Commander

Earth appears as the final playable level in each of the three single-player campaign in Supreme Commander. Tasked with either capturing, defending, or destroying a powerful super weapon known as Dark Sun, players must occupy one of the Hawaiian islands in the Pacific Ocean to complete the mission.

Starsiege

As a HERC (a type of mech) pilot, Starsiege has players fight on planets across the Sol system in an interplanetary war between the murderous AI armies of the Cybrids and the noble military of humanity. Set in the 26th century, players are able to take part in individual campaigns for each of the two sides in the war. As a Cybrid, players will assault Mercury, Earth's moon, and Earth itself in a final, crushing attack to wipe out humanity once and for all.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance

In an effort to thwart the plans of the dastardly Dr. Doom and the Masters of Evil, players take control of several dozen classic Marvel Comics superheroes over a wide number of settings, including Arcade's Murderworld, Mephisto's Realm, a Shi'ar starship, and several locations on Earth itself.
