    Overview

Edgar Ross is an agent for the Bureau of Investigation, based in Blackwater. Ross and the Bureau are detaining John Marston's family while Marston attempts to capture or kill Bill Williamson, Javier Escuella and Dutch van der Linde. He is a thoroughly modern man, and relishes the death of the old west. He does not tolerate incompetence in his subordinates. In game, Ross makes use of the High Powered Pistol and is seen using the Pump-Action Shotgun.

    Red Dead Redemption

After John Marston kills Bill Williamson, Dutch van der Linde and killing or capturing Javier Escuela, he allows Marston to return home to his family. However, after a while he returns to the Marston ranch and along with the US Army, he launches an assault on Marston and his family. He eventually kills Marston and leaves the body for the rest of his family to find.

Three years later, he has retired from the Bureau and had won a chestful of medals after taking credit for killing all four members of Dutch's gang. While taking a hunting trip down in Mexico, he is confronted by Jack Marston, the son of John, who wants revenge for the death of his father. He tells the boy to go away before he gets hurt, but Jack refuses to leave. Eventually, the two engage in a duel and Ross is killed by Jack.
