Hey, there's color in some of those screenshots! What kind of post-apocalypse is this?!
I think it looks aesthetically pleasing and sounds like it has an interesting story. Need more info.
" Heavenly Sword did nothing for me. Hopefully this will be better. "that might have something to do with the fact Heavenly Sword wasn't a very good game...well ok i wont be harsh, but it way too janky for me.
The cutscenes and facial motion capture was unbelievable though. Andy Serkis stole it.
I'm really not a fan of action/ brawlers but Heavenly Sword is one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had, not just on the PS3 but in gaming in general. It was goofy in places but the action was simple and satisfying and the story contains to date the best damn characters, scripting and acting I've seen in any game. If they've got the likes of Andy Serkis and Rhianna Pratchett working on this it's going to be awesome.
Heavenly Sword's general critic reception was 100% dead-on so I need to be convinced on why this won't be a rental like HS, especially with a heavily inspired Nariko.
Hells Yes! Heavenly Sword is amazing and has top notch cinematics with the best villain of all time. So glad ninja theory are doing a similair type of game...
@tedbear your opinion is complete and utter shite, even if you didn't enjoy the game you cant deny the cinematics were top notch and for an early release it had great graphics.
This looks fucking awesome. Don't know what you guys are talking about. Maybe you just haven't played Heavenly Sword.
Heavenly Sword was highly underrated, was my first ps3 title . Cant wait to see what these guys have been working on for the past 3 or so years. Ander Serkis is involved again too so you just know they're going to make every other game in existence look out dated animation wise yet again. Hopefully the gameplay will be on the same level or at least close to it. My moneys on third person character action title with emphasis on combo driven melee combat while the ai character acts as backup/special attack similar to Elica in Prince of Persia.
i'm pretty excited to see how this turns out. heavenly sword was, imo, one of the best titles for the first year of the ps3. even today, the graphics and boss fights are awesome.
I loved Heavenly Sword.
It had fun gameplay, great graphics, excellent animation and awesome boss fights and cut scenes!!
" Heavenly Sword was fun up to a point, but I grew bored with it roughly half-way through. These screens certainly look interesting, and the Monkey character gives it a Journey to the West vibe. I might have to give this one a closer look when there's more info on it. "the developers actually say that Journey to the West was a big influence on at least the main character if not the story. He even has a retractable staff.
