Sense Heading is a skill that allows one to determine what cardinal direction he/she is facing without the assistance of an in-game item or user-interface compass.
Female characters who are designed with highly idealized figures and proportions, outfits that are revealing and/or form-fitting, and prone to ending up in completely over-the-top poses designed to show off their bodies.
Shadow Knights are a hybrid of Warriors and Necromancers and are reknowned as the most evil and feared fighters in Norrath.
Shaman are mediums between the mortal and spiritual realms. In games, they are often priests with the ability to heal via magic and crafted potions.
The ability to change shape. Humans shifting into animals is the most common type of shape shifting.
A hairstyle, sans hair.
A shield bash is the act of using one's shield as a weapon to stun, knock back, or otherwise inflict damage on an enemy.
No point in gathering coins, gold, gil, money, or whatever if you can't buy anything with it.
Characters who at some point possess the ability to shrink in size.
A gesture used to express indifference or resignation. Not that it matters to you, or anything...
Quests that aren't necessary for game completion. They typically offer side-stories or specific rewards.
When a game lets you sit down somewhere for no other reason than to simply sit down. Often seen in MMORPGs as a way of hanging out and talking to friends.
Skeleton Warriors are comprised of the animated bones of the dead. Often brought to life to do the bidding of an evil master as mindless and indefatigable soldiers and guardsmen.
The skeleton is the framework of the human body.
Player assignable points that unlock or enhance skills allowing for character customization.
Slashing weapons are designed to cut and slice rather than causing blunt trauma. Examples include swords, axes, claws, naginatas, or even whips.
A low friction surface, causing a person or vehicle to either glide or tumble.
Smithing is a trade skill used to craft and shape metal. Steel, iron, gold, silver, pewter, tin, copper, and other metals can be used to craft armor, blades, guns, coins, arrowheads, locks, and a myriad of other objects.
Stacking songs, first in EverQuest as the bard class, allowing you to use multiple songs at once.
Soulbinders are NPCs in EverQuest that will bind players to specific places so that, if the player dies, they will respawn at that location.
Spamming, in video games, refers to the rapid, repeated use of the same item or action. For instance, "grenade spamming" in COD4 is the act of a player throwing a large amount of grenades in succession into an area so that they may get a lucky kill or simply distract the enemy.
A visual representation showing the spells or skills collected by the player. This is in reference part of the user interface, not to book objects within a game.
Any practitioner of magic (wizard, sorcerer, mage, necromancer, etc.) who casts spells. Even unlearned scholars can throw a mean magic missile every now and then.
An eight legged arachnid. Some make webs to catch prey and some are poisonous. None have made a web grand enough to be called a parlor, though.
Spies are the masters of espionage. They're also (usually) quite adept at the art of stealth, disguise, and assassination.
Quite possibly the most famous spell in all of EverQuest, and easily the most requested buff of all time. Spirit of Wolf (SoW) grants a 34-55% increase in speed depending on the level of the one who casts the spell.
The supernatural power is often used by an Eastern wizard, miko, Taoist, exorcist... and so on.
This bar keeps track of your Stamina. If it's depleted, you need to take a rest.
The first weapon that is acquired in a game. It's usually a handgun or melee weapon, is unbreakabe and carries unlimited ammunition. It's also the perfect "emergency weapon".
The recording of data related to player performance or progress in a game. This feature is commonly found in RPGs or competitive multiplayer games. It does not include statistics in sports games, unless related to player performance.
