Damn what a KOF final that was brilliant

KoF is awesome. Problem with Injustice appears to be the same as it was 2 months ago, i.e. the top 4 or 5 characters are so much better than everyone else there's not much point in using anyone else; but who knows there was a really good flash yesterday maybe he'll show up and beat down the Superman/Aquaman/Green Lantern/Batman/Black Adam train. Sad thing is the game is pretty balanced outside of the top 5.

That reset and then win in the KOF final was amazing. Melee is pretty cool right now as well. I never knew how terrifying the ice climbers were in top play.

With currently 102k viewers, Super Smash Bros. Melee is the first EVO game to break 100k, so good on its community.

Also, KoF finals were great.

Please explain the draw of Smash Brothers to me, because this is boring as fuck to watch...

It's a game that people like playing and watching. If you find it boring to watch, how is anyone telling you why others find it appealing supposed to change your mind?

'I am in the same boat. The fights just look stupid to me. It is nothing compared to KOF, Marvel or Street fighter. There you can actually see real fighting but melee is just stupid running around and hoping on these platforms over and over again for 4 minutes for each point...

Hope it will not go on for longer anymore...

Melee peaked at 134k viewers, which is impressive. It was exciting too. Definitely deserves a place at next year's EVO.

Smash was amazing, and apparently a ton of top players from the other games were very intently watching it too.

What else can they do? Sleep?

@eternalvigil: I haven't played in 2 months, slide's good but she doesn't have a strong anti air (neither does Black Adam). I didn't want to play against gamebreaking Scorpion so I quit, then they nerfed Scorpion to shit shortly thereafter. There is NO reason to use up + X three times as opposed to setting up a meter burn or doing triangle triangle frost spike.

jesus christ injustice is boring! Smash and KOF were fantastic though! marvel is gonna be interesting but god damn AE top 8 looks incredibly brutal

@fredchuckdave: Huh, I haven't played the full game, but I've been watching a lot of the fighting streams it was in and most of the pro players using Killer frost meter burn.

Good god is superman boring to watch with the same forward 2, 3 breath combo.

It's worrying when Chris G might be the most exciting player in the finals.

@casper_: For the record high level play doesn't always entail this much zoning/spam; dunno what happened o.O Green Lantern destroys Green Arrow in melee range so no clue what that guy's doing.

Edit: The GA is a much better player but he has to do so much more to win just because of balance.

I really wish more pros would use Batgirl, as she seems to be quite a good anti-zoning character.

I do love the dude in the Superman costume at least; also Doomsday (kind of an annoying character, but still he's not completely broken!)!

And that was one of the most anticlimatic grand finals at EVO this year.

Matches were definitely not as exciting as KoF or Melee. Peak was 109k viewers.

Yes but the KI people have nothing to do with this which is the part you are not getting.

People do not care for them you sold out. So no matter what you do you will not change it or get respect for a bad game anyway. The onyl thing you can do is to avoid these places.

i dunno about KI3, yes they are using their strategies,, but this game looks like they are using the same combos over and over again. i mean to an extent, you can say that about a lot of fighting games, but it seems more evident here.

i dunno..... when the game comes out we'ill see.
