I was hoping it would get at least a four, oh well.  I think this is going to be a very fun Wii game.  What do you guys think about the Gamepro review?

Gamepro still exists?  Man, I remember reading that mag back in the '90s.

I thought it was a pretty good review. From what I gathered, the game seems to be pretty fun. But still, it's not my cup of tea, I'll pass on this one.

It looks like Excite Truck...with a alien/robot skin slapped on. That is sort of a good thing, but this isn't going to be the game that gets great reviews because it looks a bit unoriginal. Expect it to be just fun, though.

It's going to be underappreciated just like Excite Truck was It will probably end up with a similar metascore, despite fixing all the issues of the first, like the small track variety and no online play. I can't wait until I can buy it, EXCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITE!

The review reads more like a feature list. He calls the original overlooked and underrated then proceeds to underrate this, without mentioning anything but graphics and sound as a negative point, which both seem just fine to me judging from the direct feed videos and many simply beautiful screenshots, as well as the speed at which you race at most of the time.

There's no particular mention of how well the online mode is implemented, there's no particular mention about the controls considering the different handling you have when racing, running and gliding, there's no particular mention of anything in particular. It's a bland and incomplete feature list with minimal "this is cool" and "this I didn't like" comments on top.

It's a horrible review in my opinion, even if it had given 5 stars, it would still be horrible.

I really don't like the new concept, it would have been much better to bring back the old stuff and refine it then to jump to a game with racing robots.
