    Far Cry 2

    The sequel to the original Far Cry dispenses with Jack Carver, and moves the action to a war-consumed Africa complete with an open-ended storyline involving civil war, several hours of missions, heated gunplay, and a slew of dynamic elements powered by a new engine.

    Far Cry 2 looks amazing. Why does no one care?

    You sound like a politician man. L4D is a multiplayer zombie game with bad gunplay, Gears 2 is not even worth mentioning, LBP needs to show that it isn't a gimmick, MGS4 is a movie, and GTA4 is a bad movie.

    I care. I'm anticipating this game a lot. I also loved FarCry Instincts Predator. It wasn't the best FPS but it wasn't the worst.

    It looks really really good I know.  I think it will be better than most FPS this year, with the one excpetion of Fallout 3

      You haven't even played 3 of the games on that list. I don't know what game should be GOTY. None of the years best have been released yet. And nothing you've listed has the killer polish required for a GOTY.

    If I had to make a prediction, I'd say that this game will be a dissapointment. It's going to be your run of the mill open world shooter. Nothing is going to set it apart, besides the location. I don't see it being fun just because you can burn stuff. 

    If I had to make an unrelated prediction, I think Left 4 Dead will be *the* PC game of the next year. I'm not so sure about its success on the consoles, though.

    I havent play 1 game on that list, i got to play Gears 2 MP a little an PAX, and L4D at PAX. I havent played LBP. Fallout 3 also looks really good. And how do you know they dont have the "killer polish" your talking about? Atleast i know my stuff, i've played the games and then made my "semi" decsion. And you also didnt name a "good" game yet, that you think has GOTY potential.
