Upon buying my new Intel processor, I received a free key for Final Fantasy XIV. Unfortunately, I had already purchased the game! I thought it only fair to give my extra key away to someone on my favorite gaming website.

Here's how this will work, to remain somewhat fair to everyone involved. Anyone who would like a shot at this key should post the phrase "I want a Final Fantasy XIV key" somewhere in this thread (one entry per person, of course). Tomorrow evening (Sunday), I will take every user's name entered and randomly draw a name to decide who gets the key. I should note that I won't count any users who seem to have fairly new accounts, in order to prevent those perhaps not of this community from snagging the key.

All this may seem a little roundabout, but I think it is the best way to give everyone an equal shot at the key. I feel this is the place where the largest swath of members will have a chance of noticing this thread, unlike Twitter.

I've been interested in this game for a while now, I do like its look and some general things I've seen and heard about it, but haven't been able to commit to a purchase since, well it's an MMO and I've tried a lot of those for like 2 days before abandoning them.

So while I want to try it out, I'm not sure I want a Final Fantasy XIV key gifted from someone as I'd feel terrible if I didn't end up using it for more than a day or two.
