Sucks that it won't have cross play feature, I'll probably have to choose the Vita version over PS3 because that's where my entire Final Fantasy collection has been sitting (except for Final Fantasy V, God damn it, make it playable on the Vita already!)

@hunter5024: It would only prevent Square from putting XII on disc. They could still release it on PSN. If I were Square though, I'd sell XII HD on disc with either Dragon Quest VIII or Valkyrie Profile 2. That would solve the problem.

I wouldn't say "confirmed". It's certainly a compelling rumor.

Confirmed would be if, well, they actually confirmed the rumor. Which they haven't. I'm still skeptical that they will do this and not have it just as on-disc DLC or something. Though, hey, I suppose $60 for both isn't awful; $40 for both would be nice.

I guess everyone can't be wrong about FFX and FFX-2.

Maybe this will make me play X-2. Interesting.

@authenticm: Who confirmed the price? The source you linked doesn't have a price, and I haven't seen any site follow up on the story with a price.

@ftomato: Mods at Neogaf apparently were aware of this and divulged more info following the announcement. The price was one of them.

Jesus Christ dude, there's a link in my OP. It's been confirmed via scans of Jump, a japanese magazine.

No need to get worked up. This morning's full scan from Weekly Jump makes it very likely to be true, but a 2ch scan of an alleged magazine page is still a rumor until confirmed by the developer.

I'll buy it at $40, but $60? No. I don't even by new games at $60, I'm certainly not going to by a couple of 10 year old games for that price. Besides Ico/Shadow of the Colossus cost $40 when it first dropped and now it sells for $20. I can wait.
