The excessive levels of DOTA 2 talk from Brad have become overbearing (for me at least) so if he wasn't on the podcast this week I would be okay with it. It's still gonna happen eventually though so it's just delaying the inevitable.
Remember when Brad couldn't stop talking about Starcraft 2? Now, those were the days.
I kind of like it. Or rather, I like Brad's enthusiasm for the whole thing. And it's interesting to share the experience of someone who is diving down a game-hole, for better or for worse. It's one of those experiences you only get with playing video games. As hobbies go, folks can get pretty obsessive with gaming. I have done that in the past, as I am sure many duders have. The amount of time I spent playing WoW is definitely unreasonable, but parts of it are some of the the best fun I have ever had.
From that perspective, I like the DOTA talk, but I totally get why some dont want so much of it, especially if you just dont care about DOTA.
Nothing wrong with Brad's enthusiasm for DOTA or any other game. I know I can get just as obsessed over certain games as well to be willing to talk about it in length on a regular basis as soon as someone brings up the topic, but when it consists of a third or half of a podcast (can't say for sure if it really does) then I don't see why Brad can't start up a Premium DOTA cast with the Matts or Crispy or some GameSpot staff who are also way into DOTA to appease to that crowd.
I don't mind a significant amount of Formula 1 or wrestling talk on a Bombcast but I would imagine it would be pretty shitty for anyone not into either or both of those things. Ya kno?
Anyway, it seems that the Bombcast is going to be uploaded really late, at least it'll be a long one. I guess it's Alt+F1 to serenade me to sleep tonight.
@rotnac: i think that's a bit of an exaggeration of the amount of time brad talks about dota on the bombcast. it's never bothered me and i usually find it worth a chuckle or two.
@ripelivejam: It probably is. Like I said, I can't say if DOTA talk has ever taken that much time. I don't exactly sit and listen with a timer in hand. :P

Is it just me, or has the SF crew been quiet on twitter today? Did the recording studios blow up? I didn't go to work today, I'm bored out of my mind, and the internet seems to have come to a complete stop today. My Tumblr is slow, my Twitter is slow, no Bombcast, Facebook is dead...
