Bombcast livestream not accessible with android chrome

Hello,

I tried to watch the livestream just a few minutes ago on my Android (pixel) Chrome version 69.0.3497.100. The video player was showing something like this is only available for subscribers. I refreshed cache and cookies on mobile chrome but issue persist. Premium VODs on site are working just fine. Bombcast livestream is works for me on OSX Chrome (Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and Firefox (62.0.1)on android.

Also wants to add that GB infinite on Android Chrome give me a blank space where video player should be located. Infinite works just fine on OSX and Android Firefox. Guess I'll stick with firefox for now.

won't let me watch premium streams, works once i switch to firefox, all other premium features work, have cleared cookies and history multiple times, whitelisted giant bomb for any ad blockers

Glad I'm not the only one with this issue on specific build of chrome.

@endquote: @kaungo: Hmm, I am able to play the livestream on my Moto X4 with the same version of Chrome, which is definitely odd. What kind of phone are you using endquote?

I'm on original Pixel with android 9.0. Currently watching playdate on firefox but chrome was no go.

As request by rorie whom I contacted by mail reporting the same issues:

There was a new update out for Google Chrome and updated it, everything

worked fine until I hopped on a premium live stream and it told me I had to

upgrade.

It was late in the evening and I assumed my subscription just expired and

just went out to extend my membership, turns out my previous one was still

active and it added one year on top of it. ( I'm aware these aren't

refundable so if there's nothing you can do about it, it's no big deal)

When I went back to the live stream the message I should upgrade was still

there, thinking this was strange I decided to see if other premium stuff

had the problem too but everything else seemed to work just fine, it was

just the live stream.

I switched to a different browser and the stream worked as normal, so for

some weird reason the new update confused some part of the live stream sub

part.

I was using chrome on my computer and the live streams works fine on MS Edge for example.

edit: I can watch a premium livestream from the front page but not when i go to giantbomb.com/chat

Could anyone still affected by this list your OS and any common addons you might be using? We have not been able to replicate it in the office or at my house. Or, alternately, if you can try logging in in incognito it might help show whether this is due to an extension.

I had this problem during the Bombcast yesterday. I'm using Win 10 Home, Chrome 69.0.3497.100 (Official build) (64-bit), and the only addon I have turned on is Adblock Plus 3.3.2.

OS: Win 10 64-bit. I turned off all addons and it still doesn't work.

I had this problem during the TH Skating live stream and now with blue bombing. I'm using Win 10, Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit), addon Adblock Plus 3.3.2. I can run from the main page but not from chat.

@rorie Hello. I'm having this exact thing happen during the GBE playdate right now, on Windows and OSX. Playing OK on homepage, asking for an upgrade on /chat.

I'm pretty certain it's due to blocking third party cookies, as it starts working normally when I unblock them.

Looks like it's not getting as far as loading video-embed.js
