How do I change my password if I forgot my old one?

I want to change my password, but it requires me to put in my current one. Unfortunately, I forgot it. I tried the "forgot my password thing" but I got a confirmation email that sent me to the website with me already logged in.

Did you try logging out of the site before you click the confirmation email?

I was not logged in before I clicked the confirmation email. I clicked the link in the email, and it automatically logged me into the site.
