I originally posted this in the API Developers forums but got no response and this seems like a more appropriate venue anyway:

I expect this will effect everyone using the releases api to create release plans / calendars. Looks like all the expected release date information, other than year, for games coming out in 2014 has gone poof... Between this, the broken release data on some games (like the WoW expansion) and the way out of range (2200+) dates on some others it would be super nice to hear from a GiantBomb dev.

If there is a way for the community to fix this information I am sure myself and many others would help, as we would like a place where we can get correct / current data regarding games. If there actually is some way already, through the wiki, to set the expected release data, which I didn't see, that would be really helpful information also.

Thanks much -- and if you want / need any more in depth information just let me know and I am more than happy to provide it.

Hey, sorry about that.

We've been busy, but I definitely read the API forum. Trying to make big improvements to it right now.

I'm looking at this issue right now, and I'll update shortly.

Thanks for posting.

@penguinpowered Hey there,

When you try: http://www.giantbomb.com/api/releases/?api_key=[api_key_goes_here]&sort=release_date do you get 2014 releases? Mine comes back.

Let me know how it is for you. Also, feel free to send over any other parameters you might be using in your call and I can take a look.

Thanks!
