I bought a 360 Arcade System from work for dirt cheap, as a gift for my brother-in-law.  However, I cannot tell if it has internal memory (included in recent arcade systems).

The model is XGX-00019.

Anyone have a list of which ones have internal memory?  I'm trying to avoid buying him a memory card if possible.

The hard drive or a memory card is the only way to store / save on the xbox as far as I know

The newer Arcade units (using Jasper boards) have been including internal memory from 256 to 512 mb.  I'm just not sure which ones have Jasper boards, and was hoping someone here knew.

I think if you try to save data/select a storage device, it should list the system memory if it has it.

You should probably just assume that it doesn't have any internal memory. He'll need either a memory card or a hard drive (preferably a hard drive).

just buy a hard drive. u can tell a jasper from the power brick on the 360. if it says 150 watts then u have a jasper board. i have never heard of the 360 having internal memory for a hard drive.

The new ones do have internal storage, but even the old ones came with a memory card. Either way you don't have to buy him any storage.

I've been trying to look this up for you, but I'm not seeing any sort of definitive list. The easiest way to tell would be to fire it up and look at the memory menu under system settings. Pretty sure it'll list any internal storage there.

Yes the new arcade versions to have internal memory.  My friend just picked one up a few weeks ago and every time he goes to save anything it lists his hard drive and internal memory as options to save.
