Dark Void, Really That Horrible?

Pre-release of the game, the presentation got me interested up until I saw the gameplay demo on youtube.com. As I watched it for about 14 minutes, it felt and looked so damn boring and dead but that's not the point. Is Dark Void really that horrible? Jeff gave it a 2.5 due to technical issues.
 
I'm actually surprised that WET turned out better in terms of reviews.

It's a fine game as far as it goes,  It's not particularly deep or clever but it's certainly fun to play for the most part.  The lack of any online play makes it rather limited an experience.

It's mediocre. Nothing about it is really that good, but it's also not that bad. The vertical cover system kinda sucks though.

It was just disappointing because people had high hopes for it.
