Fighter Dilemma

Now, I've had my eye on BlazBlue for some time now, however the cost of importing online to the UK is about $140+ which at this moment I really can't afford, an independant game shop recently opened up near me and I plan on taking a trip there and seeing if they do any imports for less. As KoF XII was released yesterday it to has piqued my intrest although I've never played an SNK fighter aside from a couple games at the arcade.

Is KoF XII even worth getting? The reviews I've read so far seem rather mixed, and as I've never gotten into an SNK fighter before I've got no loyalty or familarity with the titles/characters [same situation for BlazBlue I suppose, but I've enjoyed Guilty Gear titles in the past].

I'd like the communities opinion: save the cash and purchase BlazBlue or say fuck it and grab KoF XII as it'll be much easier to get a hold of. Either way I'll likely wait for GB's review of KoF XII before making a decision.
