Hello GiantBomb! Let's break the ice with a chat about games

Greetings all

I have been watching and reading Giantbomb for a few months now and have decided to finally take the plunge into your forums, for better or for worse, to discuss all things gaming and of course reiterate my admiration for Ryan Davis' beard.

I wrote a little blog post about my best games of this generation which was forcibly put up on this forum as part of the way it works on this site I guess which you can find here.

As a way of auditioning for this forum's consent to stick around I figured a conversation starter would be more beneficial than just shouting HELLO WORLD to you all. I suppose we can either discuss either here or there or you can just ban me right away for breaking some sort of rule. If I have with tail between my legs, I apologise.

Joking aside, let me be real for a second. Ryan's beard is the template upon which I base my life.

Just to scare you all. I found this when searching for a review of Pokemon Colosseum when I was contemplating picking it up

This is just to answer the Thread Title. 
But talking about games on these forums again would be a change worth making.

Still not sure if Ryan looks better now due to the new hairstyle or due to the beard. I'm resolutely team #nofacialhair, rebutting claims that Jeff Bridges, Christopher Reeves, or Sean Connery "look better with facial hair" (you're just used to it, they look less like old hobos or ridiculous villains when shaven.) That extends down to the bomb crew (especially Brad and Jeff,) though I hadn't thought about Mr. Davis. For the record, "rugged" (aka about as beardy as, say, Bradley Cooper gets in his movies, or Hugh Laurie is in House) is totally cool. Just adds texture to facial shape.

Anyways...welcome to the forums, duder! Generally speaking, you want to include the "conversation starter" within the thread itself, but breaking the ice threads tend to be their own form of conversation starter, anyways. Happy to have more duders.

Steel rules. Really like your approach to games as an experience rather than a derivative winge about bugs or straw man fallacies because you gotta hate everything or you're not cool.

Sooo... What was it you wanted to talk about?

Well it seems I can't spark much conversations as I only have 4 posts left. (3 after this one)

My intention was to use my blog as a talking point. Asking what all your games of this generation are and why?

Despite the fact the generation isn't over yet I feel like we should celebrate Nintendo attempting to lead the charge into the Next-Gen with the WII U without actually having to buy one of the little buggers.
