Is SFIV really bad to play with just a PS3 controllor?

What I'm trying to ask is can you still have fun, get good at SFIV, and play the game properly with a PS3 controllor?

Sure you can still have fun and play it alright, but imo you don't want to play SF4 with a controller at all, whether on PS3 or 360.
