Lost Planet Colonies for PC unbearably bad

I've been playing Lost Planet Colonies edition or whatever it's called and I simply cannot finish this game, it is too horrible. The game is badly optimized and barely runs on DX10 even with everything set on low now. The thing is, it was running perfectly fine up until the boss battle in level 5. Then the graphics were chugging. I see no real difference but it's just killing my PC

And, of course the gameplay is rather uninspired.

I can't write a review about this game without it deforming into a hate rant so I won't, but I wanted to hear the opinions of my fellow bombers on this
