Need some app recommendations for the iPhone

So I just bought an iPhone. I went from the MyTouch from T-Mobile. I managed to get some good apps so far, GiantBomb, Kitten Cannon, and Movies. I also have the social networking apps. Now I need to know what other good apps are out there. What do you guys recommend?

The AP app is great if you care about things outside your house, and Layar is pretty awesome. What are you looking for, though? Don't forget Pandora and Last.fm, by the way.

Is there anything as far as a comic book reader, game news (besides GiantBomb), or ringtone maker?

I have put well over fifty hours into Defender Chronicles.

I'm soooooooo not worthy.

I find shazam is handy when you want to know the name of a song you havent heard before. There is a free version and two paid versions for $6. The only other ap I have that I really find comes in handy is the amy bank has with the ATM locator which is sweet when you are out somewhere and you dont want to cop stupid fees by using another banks ATM's.

Pandora - Streaming online radio based on recommendations. Think Last.fm, but mobile. 
Tweetie 2 - Hands down the best iPhone app. Every feature you could possibly want in a brilliant interface. 
 
Any other general app I could recommend is based off of personal needs (SquareSpace, uStream, ect), so really, think of the web apps you currently use and there's probably an iPhone app for it to make your life easier. As for games, try not to look for games that emulate console experiences. It's a phone first, game device second and the best iPhone games tend to fall into the distraction category. 
  
Eliss - So good I had to put it in my 2009 best of list. A brilliant puzzle game wrapped in pop-art sensibilities, its as cute as it is difficult and practically a required game.
Skee-Ball (Freeverse) - Simple and incredibly addictive, Skee-Ball is one of my favorite iPhone games. The controls are spot-on and the unlockable rewards keep me coming back. 
Space Invaders: Infinity Gene - This is what Space Invaders Extreme probably should have been. Not only is it a fun shooter, but it can also create custom levels based on anything in your iPod music library. This is also the only way to experience the game at its most difficult.  
Sally's Spa - Don't hate! If you enjoy time management sims, definitely pick up Sally's Spa. 
Smack Me - It's the childhood game "Bop it" with a robot. Great for groups.  
Canabalt - I'm sure you've heard of this one, so you're probably good ;)
