Neverwinter Nights 2 or Diablo 2?

   I find it necessary for me to install and "older" MMORPG/RPG on to my computer. My computer is by no means a "gaming' computer, so that's why I didn't choose WoW are Star Trek online or something. I have like no time with either of these games, so i have a clean slate with both. I pass the question onto you you, along the lines of community (I know there's a NWN2 players out there) system requirements and the game itself, what should I "purchase"?

They aren't comparable at tall, to be honest.

Diablo 2 is pretty old nowadays but if your looking for an online experience then this would be the one to play.   Neverwinter Nights 2 is more of a single player experience, it does have a decent mod community which can extend the life.  But if you didn't choose WoW because your system can't handle it, then it's possible your system can't run Neverwinter Nights 2.  Or did you mean something else by your computer isn't a "gaming" computer.

Can they really be compared? NWN2 is a D&D game, and Diablo II is a dungeon crawler. So what do you want? More LEWTZ? or More Story?

This is like comparing Dragon Age: Origins to TESIV: Oblivion.

They are very different seeing that Neverwinter Night is a lot heavier on the RPG front. But you should remember that NW2 is very demanding on the hardware on your computer if the computer is old. My favorite is Diablo 2, but NW2 is also very good.

Apples and Oranges comparison but I love Neverwinter Nights and all the expansions. So here's some love for NWN2 in the land of Diablo 2 fervor.

NWN 2 was a great game, especially with the expansions..  But it barley works.  Hardware requirements are crazy for such a poor looking games, and there's several serious glitches and bugs that hamper game enjoyment or completely bring it to a halt.  The balance of many classes and skills is also completely off.
