New GB Animated Short: Fiasco

GB Animated - Fiasco: Last Christmas In Laguardia

It's been several years since I made an animated GB short, and I've wanted to get back to it for a long time. What better excuse than holiday cheer?! I hope the GB community enjoys it, and I welcome any feedback, since I'm basically relearning animation from the cobbled together nature of my first few. The good news is, I'm getting more of the GB crew drawn up, and I should have them all built for more shorts before the new year.

Also, since I'm learning to use actual animation software, (my first was built entirely on an iPad), the art style will likely fluctuate as I figure out how to get the look I want. The mouths I used for this one have already been replaced with ones that match speech better, and I'm slowly learning to make proper backgrounds.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this, and I can't wait to get deep into the next one!

Oh man, I nearly jumped out of my seat when I thought this was going to be the full thing! Just small portion was still great, though, hope to see more!

@glots: Doing the entire thing would be a massive undertaking! Probably close to feature length. But it's crossed my mind more than once. And I could very well end up doing that in the future :-D

By the way, I'd love suggestions on what other GB features people might like to see animated!

@clintlandon: Some Mario Party moments might make for a great animated feature. And possibly the Hitman stuff?

@sparky_buzzsaw: Funny you should mention that! Mario Party is what I've already started on next :-D Hitman is a great idea, too! Hadn't thought of that one... I must contemplate the possibilities!

Last time Austin was on the Beast Cast they hinted at doing another one this year.

This is incredible. You somehow managed to capture Alex's essence into the cartoon so well. That perpetually worried look is spot on.

That's like the funniest shit the've ever done. I really hope we can get another podcast along those lines at some point again. Just gotta get Austin in the office for a few, many hours.

@retris: Haha, thanks! Alex and I are extremely similar, so that could be why. He was the most fun to animate, which I didn't expect at the start.
