The Lord of the Rings: Conquest is, as far as I can tell, Battlefront-inspired romp through Middle Earth in which players take part in the epic battles laid out in Tolkien's books (and, assumedly, a few new ones) as a foot soldier for either good or evil. What sounds really fun (and what will set it apart) seems to be the Wraith Mode, wherein a group of players play as the Ringwraiths against a single opposing player who takes on the part of good ol', homoerotic Frodo. Frodo tries to take the Ring somewhere on the map (I'm assuming it won't be Mt. Doom every time, 'cause that would be boring as hell) while the Wraiths try to track him down and take the Ring. Frodo of course has Sting, Bilbo's elven sword and the Ring itself to help him along. Stoke factor for me? Well, it's Battlefront with Elves, Orcs, Goblins, Dwarves, Humans and many more. Uh yeah, 9 out of 10.

"BiggerBomb said:"Apparently there is a demo on XBL, did you try it?"Well I tried to, but either because of my connection or something on XBL's side, the download wouldn't ever go past 1%, so I gave up. Did you? Was it any good?
Yes, you can play as Frodo. As I said."
Nah, I haven't heard about the game. I'm not a huge Lord of the Rings fan, either. But I am a pretty big fan of the SW: Battlefront series. I'll wait to hear more from others, I have too much on my plate to get bogged down with demos.
