Hey, so I got a new Xbox 360 Elite today and plugged everything in. After turning everything on I realised that the picture quality was worse than my original white xbox. The white xbox has a component cable and the Elite has a composite cable. They look very similar except one has only w/g/y and the other has w/y/b/g/r/solid r. Do you think it would be alright If i just plugged in the component cable to my Elite even though it came with a composite cable? Will this do any harm?

I was under the impression that all Xboxs came with either Component/Composite mix cables or HDMI. The Elite should have had an HDMI.

I have an HDMI cable but no place to plug it in my TV. Do you think the older version of the cables would work without problems?

Elites and arcades since they've phased out pros have composite only now the hdmi that came with elites is no longer.
As for that it would be perfectly fine to hook up that component cable to the elite.
