It would be helpful if you mentioned what types of games you like. Not knowing that, Borderlands 2 is pretty awesome.

#6 Posted by j0lter (165 posts) - 7 months, 18 days ago

@Barrabas: Just no racing games. That's about it.

007 Goldeneye Reloaded. I'm playing that right now. It's not as polished as some of the other fist person shooters out there. But still a lot of fun.

#9 Posted by jebara (61 posts) - 7 months, 18 days ago

@j0lter: I was thinking Cathrine would be the game you were sure to have considering your avatar, I want to add that the game is much better than it looks to be.

Anyway, do you have a DS? if so, do you have Ghost Trick?

If not, fix that.

Do you want to sit back and watch a story with occasional mediocre gameplay or do you want a GAME THAT HAS BALLS AND LETS YOU PLAY AND CREATE THE ACTION WITH YOUR FINGERTIPS?

I'M A GAMEPLAY EXTREMIST AND I RECOMMEND DAY OF SEX HUMAN REVOLUTION. Buy it. Now.

If you don't get this, I will literally find you and kill you with a sock filled with batteries. But not really.

Other than that from newer releases I can recommend Torchlight 2 that I've gotten like...yesterday. But still mostly playing Borderlands 2. If you're interested in some older (cheaper) games you're gonna have to tell me what you're looking for because it's a long list.

THE BALLS ARE MICRO EXPLOSIVES THAT YOU FIRE FROM YOUR TORSO AND THE FINGERTIP ACTION IS ACTUALLY MACHETES HIDDEN IN YOUR ARMS. MURDERBONER/STRAP IT ON

Read a book you jerk, and hopefully in that book it will tell you to play dust: an elysian tale. I just played that one and liked it lots.

if you require your 'grind' fix, borderlands 2 is serving it's position as a good time vacuum, i'm orbiting it in my free time like a madman. opening chests is the equivalent of some anxious drug addict injecting a gallon of heroin into his skinny timid body daily, almost hitting the tip of the spear to drowning his cortex on his desperate fixation whilst repeatedly and rapidly equivocating his mass drug-life to individuals who couldn't find the time nor reason to care, but interrogate him nonetheless to hide their own mass guilt from beating their girlfriends whilst the-... i don't know where the fuck i'm going with this...

but the point is, Borderlands 2 is a good game, and i highly recommend it. also, if you're a generous humanoid, keep an eye out for my imminent review.

If you have a PC, try out Dungeons of Dreadmore and the new version of Half Minute Hero. I'd also say failing all else, try some older games from the Genesis or SNES :D

@j0lter: Don't buy from Gamestop first of all (the internet is your friend). Witcher 2 is fantastic and actually superior to Dark Souls in many ways. Wait for Borderlands 2's price to tank, Uncharted 3 is excellent especially for a low price, Arkham City is overrated but okay I suppose, Vanquish, Bulletstorm, Bayonetta, and MK9 are all marvelous.

Gamestop used game shopping sprees are one of my favorite activities, especially when they have that 3-for-2 deal going on.

But yeah, you should pick up Enslaved, it's one of the most slept-on games this generation.

Also The Darkness, both 1 and 2 are excellent.

Also, since you said you were interested in Dragon Age and The Witcher, I assume you are an RPG person. I recommend Lost Odyssey, which is the best JRPG I've played in this console generation.

Holy jesus christ on a pogo stick, you don't have the witcher 2? Fix that. Right now.
Combat and story are stellar, characters are awesome and you get almost to much content if you consider the spliting story line at the end of act 1.
Hands down my favorite game of all time and I played it on 360

No I don't which is why I hated the last hour of Human Revolution so goddamned much. And every boss fight.
