Recommended viewing for a Giant Bomb Newcomer

Hello, I am a relatively new Giant Bomb user and I would appreciate it if anyone could link me to any quick looks, reviews, podcasts, Thursday night throwdowns, etc, to help me gain familiarity with Giant Bomb's History and Staff...............

podcasts are your best bet for the raw experience of the duders , mabye their pax panels ? quick looks , reviews , tnts ted to be more focused on you know .. the game .. but of course there are some classics .. i personally am a fan of any quicklook with vinny or dave in it .. and vinny/dave quicklooks = the best , but im also a flight sim nerd :/

cards vs humanity (tnt i think that was theyve played it twice) , warlords cash games , mk / pac man scrub leagues .. i guess they were all tnt's past.

you could watch the TANG (this aint no game) and WU-TANG (the wonderful universe of this aint no game) ryans video game related movie review series , that was a thing ..

hehe .. im like most hardcore gb fans in that i consume basicly everythign they put out , so its all a blur if you ask me to pick out highlights etc ..

Try to find the "Best of" Giant Bomb quick looks on Youtube. Those are great

The persona 4 endurance run and the Vinny/Jeff Deadly Premonition endurance run. The best quicklooks are the ones without Patrick or Ryan controlling the game. To get the most enjoyment out of the site it's sometimes important to think of GB as an entertainment website with social networking tendencies rather than any sort of serious journalistic thing.

I always felt that summarized quite a bit of the giant bomb experience.

A couple of TNT's (mainly the Battlefield 3 and Halo Reach ones) and these:

The TANG series.

The TNTs are premium, but if you ever do go that route, watch the Iron Brigade, Cards Against Humanity, and Dead Island ones. (I've only been around ~18 months, but those definitely stick out in my head).

After that just listen to the podcasts. I listen to mine on the way to work, and it quickly became something I looked forward to. No reason to really bother with the older ones, unless you want to hear a special guest or something.

I like you. Kind of weird I look at it the same way, even though I respect every staff member more than almost every game "journalist" working today.

Any/all of the gameshow based video games they quick looked. Like Family Fortunes or Price Is Right...that shit never gets old

@believer258: I thought I was one of the only people who enjoyed the BF3 TNT's haha. Theyre so good. That game is just perfect for that format

Their great, but I think you should look for a list of best quick looks. A few clips is cool, but there's so much better stuff.

Honestly, just go through the quick looks, or again, browse lists for a top quick looks list, and watch those. I'd suggest the Persona ER and one of the Deadly Premonition ERs, don't listen to people telling you to go for the Jeff/Vinny one. Watch an episode or two of both and make your own damn choice. And if you wanna go crazy, watch both like I did, though you should probably do one all the way through then the other later down the road.

TANG is all good, so I'd check that out.

The podcasts are all great, but if old news bugs you, just listen to the E3 podcasts from last year and the GOTY podcasts because there is some great conversation that doesn't really rely on timely information (yes, the GOTY games are old, but the conversation and debate is still interesting and entertaining.

Not really sure what the recommend, honestly, because I've just watched everything since the start, so I pretty much just said "WATCH ALL CONTENT" because of that. Sorry lol.

If you decide to become a paid member you absolutely need to check out Drew's trip to North Korea, he just got back from it and they did a long video on it where he talked all about it and it was super interesting and funny

Not if you go to Justin.tv they aren't.

P4 Endurance Run is a must.

Just start at the beginning and keep watching and listening until you get all caught up.

"What is your thoughts on Megan's Law?" - One of the few times I've seen Jeff and Ryan crack, still one of my funniest Giant Bomb moments ever.

    The general rule of Quick Looks is the worse/crazier the game, the better the Quick Look. Here's some of my favourites.
