"Rockhart"= A new game-inspired clothing line

Hey everyone,

I found this Kickstarter project yesterday, thought I would see what you all think of it.

I can definitely support their philosophy of trying to do away with lame pun gaming shirts, and their designs look good.

Also, anyone got any suggestions for other sweet clothing lines? Apart from the Whiskey Media store of course.

The shirts in the link look like a lot of the other video game shirts out there.

That squid cold looks like a dong.

The penis shirt is hilarious and also impossible to wear in public. The others look good.

That's not bad... I like the squid shirt. Not sure if spam though.

I think the belts are pretty cool. But other than that eh.

Nope, shirts look as typical as the rest of the gaming clothing out there.

What the world needs more of is "gamer" clothing with pixel art and NES controllers on it. And why does that one shirt have a giant cock on it?

One of the problems with stuff like this is that the video game industry is so heavily branded, that it's hard to make anything people will be interested in that isn't a direct reference to a commercial product. It makes things feel weirdly hollow, and only serves to remind you how much of our silly little subculture is actually controlled by corporate entities.

Those shirts are terrible. I myself only like to wear shirts that have a kind of "you got to know it to get it" feel to them, which means that to me all of those look like crap to me.

I kinda wish there were more video game apparel groups that catered to a wider audience than the 8-bit/Nintendo crowd. There's a few out there but every time I look for video game shirts I mostly just see Nintendo related themes and that's a bit upsetting as a SEGA fan. And speaking of SEGA, it'd be nice if these people that do in fact make SEGA shirts would stop focusing on Sonic so much.

The Cock Squid is awesome for all the wrong reasons and I would never buy or wear it, the rest of the items are just bad and generic.

Or I get to laugh at them for not getting it. I'm what people call an asshole or to some a demon. I really, REALLY, start to laugh at those who call me a demon though.

Also I like my disco master chief T-shirt, makes me laugh whenever people stare at it trying to figure out what it is.

Yeah, I just wear a plain black tee-shirt. I don't need to look like a billboard or a junior high boy's bedroom wall.
