Ohai
So, I just hit 300 subs on YT(Sylinic)... and I need a new game to do a playthrough of, an RPG, 1 or two player doesn't matter could work with both.
So, if you will, what's your favorite RPG? Recommended? Worth looking into?
<3
RPGs of sorts
My favorite RPG is The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. My recommendation for a playthrough would be Super Mario RPG. Extremely underrated.
Woah, such nice people. <3
I'ma look into so far,
Two Worlds 2
Elder Scrolls III
Golden sun 1 2 and 3
ADOM
Persona 3
Nocturne
All sound equally epic :D
The thing is though, I'm trying to get on Machinima Realm, and I dont want to come off cocky or anything but i'm better than a good amount of directors on M.R. (Totally sounded cocky)
So, need a AMAZING RPG, aswel these sofar seem very promising, tysm guise<3
The Mass Effect games are very fun even if they might be a little more shooter than RPG.
Straight RPG probably Planescape: Torment, which I believe is on GOG
- Jade Empire
- Alpha Protocol
- Planescape Torment
- Sanitarium (although it is not a true rpg, more of a insane point-and-click game)
- Divine Divinity
- Divinity 2
- Gothic 3
- Risen
- Fallout 1, 2, 3 and New Vegas
- Parasite Eve
- Parasite Eve 2
- Knights of the Old Republic
- Knights of the Old Republic 2
- FFX
- FFXII
- FFXIII
- FFXIV (a great choice as the game is badmouthed as hell)
- FFVI
- Baldur's Gate 1 & 2
- Vangrant Story
- Suikoden 1 & 2

These men have good taste." My favorite RPG is The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. My recommendation for a playthrough would be Super Mario RPG. Extremely underrated. "
Borderlands (only if co-op)
Oblivion
Morrowind
Fallout 1-3
Risen
Gothic 1 and 2
Mass Effect 1 and 2
Dragon Age
Witcher
Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2
Deus Ex
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Icewind Dale 1 and 2
Planescape
Arcanum
Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines
KOTOR
Might & Magic
Jade Empire
Nehrim (Oblivion Mod)
and other stuff I forgot to mention.
If you're gonna do a playthrough on YouTube, I suggest going for something old, obscure, or both.
I didn't like the game (too difficult for my taste), but I will suggest Wizardry 8, seeing as no one has brought it up yet.
Playing Divinity 2:Dragon Knight Chronicles, which I bought off Steam a couple weeks back, and its absolutely amazing! It plays a lot like Mass Effect 1, although set in a fantasy setting. Its a little bit easy on Normal difficulty (due mainly to a tendency towards some overpowered effects available on some loot drops), but has great looking dungeons, a real variety to the outdoor areas, and a fun main story as well as a bunch of interesting side quests. There is a lot more to it then just loot and quests, as once you get to a certain point in the game, you get your own tower which opens up crafting of potions, crafting of a demon pet from body parts you find as loot drops thruout the game (!!!) and customization of jewelry/armor/weaps (recipes and components drop throughout the game). Later in the game you get the power to transform into a dragon (fits into the story line), opening up flying travel which is nice, as well as special armor for your dragon form to aquire.
So besides it just being a great game, it would be pretty easy to watch a playthru on YT because the visuals and cutscenes do a lot of the story telling, instead of having to squint and read text as in the otherwise excellent Planescape:Torment.
I was thinking about Amnesia, even though its a puzzle game, but it's fun to watch people play it.
The whole purpose of this is im trying to get on Machinima Realm, I need a unique, yet fun to watch game. They're tired of WoW and Minecraft ect..
But, i'm going to sift through all these games and maybe ill find something good :D
What mostly populates it is Wow, Minecraft, Fallout, Starcraft, League of Legands, LOTRO, and that's pretty much it.
They want diversity, aswell if I can get on there my channel can grow a great ammount.
Although, I have an amazing idea(Atleast in my opinion). So, World of Warcraft, we all know PreBC it was actually good. I play on a PreBC server, not because it's free, but because it's epic.
So, as we all know, PreBC PvP is epic, so I thought maybe i'd do commentaries over that, like how CoD or just FPS games in general blew u with commentaries, I think it might be a good idea, but I'm not sure if I can get on Machinima with that.
Ya see, as you might know, you can't profit on the servers(Owners cant charge)... but Machinima Realm is making money on the adds they put over the video, so will that affect it? But doesnt my commentary over it make the video legally mine? Or something like that...
Please respond:D
Risen, hmm... I''ll look into it :D
Tho Witcher is loooking pretty epic :D

- Alpha Protocol
Seriously?
My favorite RPG would have to probably be Diablo II. It's amazing how a gaming that's solely about clicking can be so addicting and fun.
" My recommendation for a playthrough would be Super Mario RPG. Extremely underrated. "Whaaa...? The general opinion of that game on the internet seems to be absolutely over the top adoration. Seriously.
I nominate Baldur's Gate 2, but I'm not sure how visually interesting that would be to watch. Ehhh... Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic? Everyone's already done Morrowind and Oblivion, so maybe Daggerfall? Of course, that's more of an ironic suggestion than a genuine one.
Valkeryia Chronicals is excellent.
If you go for Persona 3 get FES (cheaper and more stuff added on)
Disgaea (any of them. Not an complete RPG but tactics oriented)
Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha and the Souless army.
Nocturne
Persona 2 (both)
Okage the shadow king. (Underrated game.. Seriously I don't know many people who played, but I beat this fun little RPG and wish it had a sequel. It's very Tim Burtin Esk)
I liked it, and find it better than ME2 in the chemistry among the squad members and even in the story. You should play it, if you're into RPGs." @Jeust said:

I have played, and I certainly didn't enjoy it. I've played it after hearing how underrated it was by many people. So I gave it a try, and I was severly disappointed by it. However! I have to admit that the dialog system, and the choices you make that affect the outcome of the story and character relationship was quite impressive. Superior than Mass Effect 2 in that regard. I still didn't enjoy the gameplay, and I can't understand the appeal of the game outside of it's concept and dialog system.
But hey, you know what they say: Different strokes, different folks.

I'm in the middle of replaying Final Fantasy VII now and I'm shocked that I had almost forgotten what an awesome game it is.
One of the old Persona games. 3 and 4 get all the love so if I were a subscriber, it would be cool to see one of the older ones.
" @GhostlyEnigma said:I picked it up for 7 bucks on steam. Played it for about 6 or 7 hours straight and loved every minute of it. I can't recommend anything other than what's already been recommended, but I checked out your channel and watched a Black ops vid. It was good, but I noticed some interlacing that you can clean up with a program like VirtualDub. Just run the de-interlace filter and it will get rid of the horizontal lines when moving fast.
Good videos though. I'll be looking forward to your RPG run-through.
