And it has to be a legitimate compliment, not backhanded.

I really can't stand StarCraft, but that power armor the marines wear is pretty sweet.

Silent Hill Homecoming - The story tried really hard to capture the feel of Silent Hill

Grand Theft Auto (All but 3) - The world's feel well structured, and the stories aren't complete junk.

Demon's Souls - It's the greatest game ever

Resident Evil 5 - It destroyed the series, hopefully allowing the 6th installment to be a reboot

Modern Warfare 2 - Online was flawless in terms of visual presentation and lag

Call of Dut Black Ops - Everything is a step and a half above MW2 except visual presentation and lag (Still enjoy it though)

So are we to assume you've played it then? Can you recommend me a similarly-themed game that would be better?

Halo did revolutionize first-person console shooters with a control scheme that has become the standard in all fps's.

Hate is a pretty substantial word.  I imagine many people will pick games that are fairly good that they don't like a lot for this.  Lemme think of a game that I hate.  ...can't really think of a game I hate.  I'll cave here and give an example of a game that is bad but has something pretty good about it:  Big Rigs has a great Gamespot review from Alex Navarro.

#47 Posted by BatOtaku13 (143 posts) -

Tales of Legendia

The character designs are really quite interesting.  I would love to see more work from the same artist (the one who did the animated scenes in kill bill) in games.
