'Set Phaser to Fun' Title Stolen By Kotaku

A news story/feature on Kotaku had a oddly similar title to the Giantbomb video series: Set Phasers to Fun.
It's called: Phasers Set to Fun; and both talk about Star Trek Online.

You should have seen how things were when Ghostbusters The Game came out. Good Lord, I think I saw the same titles of stories on at least 5 different websites.

I believe this has been done countless times before, either on The Simpsons or Family Guy or Futurama or something, I can't remember where.

I guess the Giant Bomb crew will have to turn their phasers from fun to stun.

Meh, the GB guys and the Kotaku guys are fairly tight. If Crecente, Totilo, and crew did get it from GB, I'd call it borrowing as an homage.

Ha-ha, yeah I found this "Set Phasers to Fun" headline for a 2004 article on the Anime News Network.  My favorite was as a title to a 2008 blog detailing a trip to Ghana, Africa.  I'm not sure what the relationship is there.  I'd be willing to bet the phrase goes back at least as far as Star Trek: The Motion Picture in 1979.  I'm certain some movie critic couldn't pass it up when writing their review 30 years ago.
