Silversun Pickups

May just be the best alternative rock band I've heard in years. If you're a fan of Smashing Pumpkins or just alt-rock in general check them out.

They're a cool band.Wouldn't go so far as to call them the best recent alternative act but they're cool.I've seen them live a couple of times.

Eh...Well, everybody has their own opinion about good music.

I really like this band. I've listened to their album quite a bit. They have a really recognizable and unique sound and that sets them apart from all the sound a likes now a days.

More of a mainstream song... but whatever gets you hooked lol  

Don't pass up on this band haha

I like the Carnavas album. Haven't really listened to much else of theirs. Good band.

Their song Lazy Eye has always made me think of them as Foo Fighters, with a female lead.
 
 

They're pretty good. I like Kissing Families and Lazy Eye the most.

I liked the early stuff but hated their latest stuff.

I've liked Silversun Pickups for a couple of years now.  I have their 2 albums and EP plus some live stuff I got off Itunes.  They are one of my favorite bands and that's all I can say on the subject except that if you like them you should also check out The Subways and Superchunk.

I love The Royal We. The rest of Swoon is very good too.

I am going to go watch them play later this month.

Just go buy My Bloody Valentines' Loveless. It's what The Smashing Pumpkins and The Silver Sun Pick Ups aspire to do, but fall a little short of achieving.

my girlfriend loves them so much but man do i fucking hate them, they are so bad and annoying.  I saw them when they played on Muse's latest tour, cause man Muse is amazing, and the entire crowd was so bored with them, when Muse came on everyone went nuts.

Substitution is my favorite song on Swoon, also Well Thought Out Twinkles is awesome on  Carnavas

They have an alright sound, I just don't like Aubert's voice.

I loved Carnavas. But I wasn't big on the album they put out last year. 

The only Alt-rock band I like is Radiohead because I'm dark and deep and misunderstood

Fantastic band.  "Swoon" was my favorite album of 2009.

I've only listened to three or four of their songs, but I enjoyed them.
