Hmm, i preferred the old brian ekberg character design. There was a disparity between the face and the voice in that video. I'm curious to see actual gameplay if they've overhauled it though, as the previous iteration already seemed interesting.
It seems they might be going back to the games roots, which I'm glad about...I loved those games It was just so satisfying to grab someone from behind and just snap their neck or stab them...

To you maybe. A lot of people love Splinter Cell, me included. I liked the direction that the game was going in, but I do like the look of Sam better from this trailer. I hope they make it have more open, Bourne like moments while still having parts that feel like traditional Splinter Cell. I don't see why that's not possible.

Anyways, this trailer could be the progression from the Double Agent to conviction like he's growing his hair out and then something goes bad and then he has to grow the beard and hair and it becomes the social stealth that was first introduced.
Was that Sam? It's cool that he's all clean cut now, but his head looks more square. = / Either way, we'll see how this goes. Hoping it doesn't turn out to be Splinter Cell: Assassin's Creed Edition.

Yes, that was clearly Michael Ironside's voice, and Sam Fisher's likeness.
They had developed Conviction, but there was a lot of backlash at the direction the series was going, so Ubi stated that they had started re-designing a large portion of the game.
The picture with the long hair/beard was the old design, I'm assuming this is the re-done one, more like Fisher of old
I was very much looking forward to playing a hobo stealth game. I hope that's just the beginning, or there's some weird hair growing feature, requiring you to shave and such.
