Me:

1. Research games, watch gameplay vid, read reviews, play at friends etc.

2.Every game I'm interested in goes through gamefly.

2. The weak games go back right away.

3. If the game is good I either play until I beat it or I buy it and just keep the game.

Found this has saved me on a lot of impulse buys.

Only games I might buy in the coming months is Damnation and Red Faction Guerrilla.

What's your stragety to getting games?

1. Find games I'm interested in.
2. Go to game store.
3. Pick up games off shelf.
4. Walk around and look at said games.
5. Decide that I don't need to be spending this money right now.
6. Put games back.
7. Come home and try and finish games I already own.

Hahaha... Funny how reviews work, sometimes they are just wrong, nothing like actually playing the game. But yeah not much love out for Damnation, I should be getting it  this week.

I've been playing long enough to know what I'll like by previews and gameplay vids. The only time I'm ever wrong is when I go out on a limb and try something BECAUSE it's different. That's how I ended up with Stormrise.

You said it.
I do still buy a game from time to time, for full price that is. I have some good friends, such as eBay. :D

Without renting its just kind of limiting what I could afford to play. Definetly would have to wait a while for any new games.  I gameflyed about 7 games last month for $25.

IMO Ebay and Craigslist are more of a hassle then they’re worth most of the time. Rigged auctions and spam emails, no thanks.

I buy older games because I can find them for real cheap. For instance, I found Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, and PoP at blockbuster the other day for 20 dollars each, mirrors edge was 15. Those games used to be 60+ doll hairs each. Now, since I've stocked up on games (not just those three lel) I will play the hell out of the ones i have and didn't finish or want to play again, then there will be more bargain games for me.

For me:
1) Know what games I must buy when it first comes out and go to store and buy them.
2) If not a must buy, wait till it goes down to 20 or 30 bucks then go buy them.

I rarely buy games full price anymore, only my must have titles. I usually bide my time to wait for good deals, I got Soul Calibur IV and Lost Planet for $10 each at bestbuy a few months ago.
