swapping a ps3 hard drive

I would like to know if I can take a hard drive from a ps3 60g and put it into a another ps3 60g and access and my saved game data.

Unless there's been some sort of update in the past few years then no, you can't access saved game data that way. You need to back it up on to an external drive first.

this might seen like a dick'ish answer but it was not meant that way but really just youtube it. honestly there are some decent videos of how you do and its actually so easy that you dont even know that. if you just wanna swap harddrives then thats pretty much plug and play. if you want to put in a larger hdd its also extremely easy

I think some game saves will be available. If it's not the same ps3, I believe you'll have a lot of problems.
