There Can Only Be One! What is the best MOBA?

Loved DOTA original, but DOTA 2 is the same game but better and with dedicated matchmaking.

I appreciate LoL but didn't get as into it as I did with DOTA 2. Man, DOTA 2 consumes my LIFE.

Demigod. Because...no.

I voted Dota 2 because, other than Demigod, it's the only one I've played and I really didn't enjoy Demigod and I really enjoy Dota 2. Still suck though!

Right now I prefer League. I find the pacing of DotA to be excruciatingly slow. The fact that it was built from a game that needed to allow player to simultaneously manage a base and dozens of troops is readily apparent.

I played LoL the most, but after playing some Dota 2; I felt it was the better game.

DOTA2 hands down, just like the OG DotA but better.

really there are only three options, maybe even just two on that list that even matter.

I have always rejected the idea that one must chose only one when it comes to entertainment.

League of Legends by far. DOTA 2 isn't even in the same league.

I actually think it's an even split between Dota 2 and League. Dota 2 is more varied and interesting in a lot of ways but has a much harder learning curve and has some differences I'm not a fan of (camera altitude being a major one). League has less variety in the champs and of course the business model changes things significantly compared to Dota but it's still an excellent game.

That said, I think Dota has really knocked the non-gameplay stuff out of the park. The UI and feature set kind of blow League of Legends' out of the water. Not that League does any of that poorly, but damn Dota goes so deep with a lot of that stuff. Plus having all of the champs unlocked is a really cool and awesome business model that makes the game a little less about "who are the two awesome characters lets all be them" and gives a bit more room for experimenting, especially for newer players.

I voted Awesomenauts because I actually played multiple games online and had fun with it. And Airmech doesn't count as a MOBA, does it?

Between the two big giants in the room, dota 2, because I don't wretch over the business model and my favorite part of this type of game is to have a balanced(as much as can be) pvp experience with rpg/mmo like characters. I feel the persistence in LoL is grindy and negative to that aspect.

No reason to include DotA and Dota 2 because they're literally the same game.

Smite. Pretty much the only MOBA I was able to get into without hating it after a few days figuring it out. The community also isn't filled with as much wroth as the others from my experience.

I voted for Awesomenauts. I found that it was very easy to get into and understand but it's quite deep and the good players will just destroy you. I am however, extremely bad at it.

I've not played dota 2 or lol though but I look at them and they just don't appeal to me especially if you actually have to communicate and coordinate. You can get by in Awesomenauts without saying a word which is fine by me. It also happens to have a pretty sweet theme song.

Dota 2 has consumed so much of my time and I don't see that stopping any time soon. It is my first MOBA and I'm basically in love with it.

One thing's for sure, it rhymes with MOBA
