Anyone remember these games? Why aren't they considered classics like Crash Bandicoot or Spyro the Dragon? I remember these games being just as good.

I remember renting tombs and it being one of my favorite games ever. It never achieved huge popularity because it was released in the golden age of the ps1' when there were a bajillion games available of every type. Tomb had an incredibly small print run, and almost no ad support. Critics loved it though. I think it was almost immediately selling on eBay for triple digits.

Wrong, they are better.

I love Tomba 1 and 2. I remember trying to figure out the secrets and hidden areas by myself before I knew gamefaqs was a thing.

Yup, Tomba! is still an amazing platformer with lots of charm.

Tomba! 2 is less good, but still very solid.

I actually decided to play a bit of Tombi 2 recently. It's still great. But man, that framerate is low.

I own the second game, have been trying to find the first for under like $80 for a long while. Don't know why Sony doesn't have them on psn.

I remember finishing the first game with little issue as a kid, took me a while sure but I did everything and found all the hidden items, leaf butterflies etc.

Went back to it a couple of years back and was literally confused as to where to even begin on half of the side quests. Modern games have made me soft man...little kid me would be hell of disappointed.

Also, totally worth of Classic status, as is Croc, Legend of the Gobbos

Maybe Tomba will show up in that Playstation All-Stars game, that would be neat.

But yes, those games were quite fun. I remember playing the demo of one of them many times over before purchasing it.

That's literally how I played Tomba 2 as well. I must have played that demo a dozen times, the game was awesome.

I remember Tomba. I never owned it but I played it at a cousin's house. It was really fun.
