When you beat the game, what do you do when the credits roll? I usually just go to my laptop and do whatever until the credits are over.
What do you do when the credits roll?
I don't skip them, out of a combination of respect for the team that did it, wanting to hear the music and not wanting to miss a potential post-credit sequence.
But I'll probably mess with my phone or something while they roll.
I usually sit there and think about the game or the ending. I wait until the credits are over, just to make sure there isn't anything after them.
I always watch the credits through to the end for everything, whether that be a game, film or episode of TV. That's just how I roll.
I usually stick all the way through the credits and let the ending sink in. Some games do more with the credits than others though. For example:
Demon's Souls
Persona 3
Metal Gear Solid
if i know theyre's nothing special at the ending, i either shut it off, or wait to let it save. unles i like the ending song. if there is something after the end, i wait.
I go on forums and RAGE about how the game didn't exceed my super-high expectations. Then if there's no post credit...something I cry myself to sleep.
Wait it out and take some time to think about what just happened. I either:
1-Actually read some of the credits to see who voices the characters
2-Look for funny names
3-Just wait because I need a break
The one time I hated how long the credits rolled was for Fable. Man, it felt like that went forever.
I shit my pants right away. Doesn't matter who's in the room or what's happening.
Credits roll, Shit pants.
Cross off the names that I wrote down trying to guess who voiced the characters if I get them right.
Also think about the pros and cons of the game
" look for funny names. "This is the most important thing to do.
There was someone who worked on Dead Space who had the name Peng :o
" @jayjonesjunior said:See, it's true." look for funny names. "This is the most important thing to do. There was someone who worked on Dead Space who had the name Peng :o "
There's always Peng :o
Urinate.
Not in my seat. I go to the bathroom. It always seems to work out that way, I realize "oh Im right at the end fuckin a" then I sit and finish and don't notice hunger pains or bladder rumblings or anything till the credits pop up. That's why I hate credit/cutscene fusions cus my bladder's like "hurry the fuck up".
i usually sit there and wait for it to be over. i sometimes hope that there is something after the credits. halo 3 did good with that. i remembering going to school and doing homework. a friend said he just beat halo 3 and said that it was sad that master chief died. i was like what?!? i had to tell him to watch the credits. you know he like freezes himself and says wake up when i'm needed.
Most of the time I lean back and relax. Put my controller down, listen to the music, and ruminate about everything that has happened and everything that might happen next in a sequel.
I'll usually let them roll. Wing Commander 3 had some long as hell credits, and they had weird stuff in them like recipies for chocolate cookies and other totally random stuff.
I put down the controller/leave the keyboard, and flop on my bed to enjoy the music.
If the music sucks, then I look for funny names.
I let them roll till the end in case there's a post-credit scene. I played a game - don't remember which - that would allow you to fast-forward them by pushing one of the analog sticks. I thought that was a good idea.
I also enjoy watching Epic games credits cause they have the pictures of the developers. There's a funny looking guy that always makes me crack when I see him.
But usually, yes, it's quite boring.
The credits are usually too long for me to handle.
So unless I can skip them, I turn off the console.
I try to skip through the credits. If I don't have an option, then I troll Giant Bomb until the credits are over.
Wait till the end, there might be a secret cut scene at the end and I don't want to accidentally miss it. Didn't Assassin's creed for the 360 give you an achievement for waiting till the end of the credits?
Is it just me or are there less post-credit shenanigans than there used to? Anyway, I fondly remember the bunnies hopping into the sunset after Full Throttle and I'm still hoping for something to top that...so I pretty much always sit through 'em, usually spending my time looking for joke names.
I sit back, check out the producer and lead design, then check if the game will let me escape out when it gets to Video Sequence Animator or Special Effects.
Then, I look at the massive stack of games I've yet to get to and wonder what I'm going to play next, hopefully completely different from whatever I just finished.
Oh, and I write the name of the game down on a tiny notebook. Up to 3,456.
