Which is more fun?

Blanket statement.

Shadow Complex. FPS bore me to death...

I haven't played either, but shadow complex looks way more interesting.

I say Shadow Complex, even though I haven't played a ton of it yet, simply because I'm not huge on the whole competitive MP thing.  You asked for it.

I'll take an FPS over a sidescroller any day, but Shadow Complex is the exception.

I never played Super Metroid (GASP!) or Castlevania Symphony of the Night (Double GASP!), so I no comparison to Shadow Complex. However, I am really enjoying Shadow Complex. I might have to try the WiiWare and XBLA version of those games.
