Poll Would you make 1080p or 60 fps standard in the next generation? (158 votes)

Always 1080p, but sometimes 30 fps and sometimes 60 fps 41%
Always 60 fps, but sometimes 720p and sometimes 1080p 59%

If you could make one standard in the upcoming console generation, would you rather games ALWAYS be presented in true 1080p HD, or ALWAYS run at 60 frames per second?

Neither will be better than this gen, in fact it might get even worse because devs wanna keep pushing lolgraphics.

It's certainly possible, just look at Far Cry 3 on consoles. The frame rate is just barely playable, but I do admit the game looks pretty damn great overall though. I think most people would prefer a smoother better performing game than a shiny, effects ridden sluggish game.

I still use an SD TV and I've failed to notice frame rate issues in many games renowned for it, so I don't mind developers doing it as long as the important parts of the game get attention.

1080p and 60fps has been standard for me for years. Then again I also have over 340 PC games on Steam.
