Um, it's me, so yes.
Would you trade Modern Warfare 2 for Final Fantasy XIII?
These games have practically nothing in common, but I'm wondering what you guys would do. I know not much is necessarily known by many of you about FFXIII, but I'm wondering if I should sell MW2 and just use that money to get FFXIII. The responses might influence my decision some. Just so I can see the results, I'll vote "No" here (there really should be another option to view these).
I actually would. Partly because I got bored and tired with the multiplayer in MW2. That's just me though
I hate anything with the Final Fantasy name post SNES-era and think Modern Warfare 2 is awesome, so I really can't help you personally, but everything that I have heard about it critically has been lukewarm at best, and appearently it's super linear (as in, a straight line almost the entire time) That sounds super unappealing to me.
But it is your game and your money, so you can do what you think is best. I suggest waiting for some more reviews from this side of the pacific before making a decision.
" No for me, I play a ton of MW2 Multiplayer and plus I dont trade my games since you get ripped off. "I'm not talking about any of that. The question is if you could trade MW2 for FFXIII, would you. There are no variables or exceptions here, it's a direct trade.

" Fuck no, what the fuck is wrong with you? "Hehe... honestly, MW2 is starting to frustrate me deeply. I dunno, it seems that I'm rarely having fun. Even though I don't care about my K/D ratio anymore, dying sucks. And dying repetitively is worst. I feel like I need to modify my playstyle if I actually want to get decent, but then I don't have much fun and I feel like I'm in a routine or something.
Hell No. I'd rather be able to put a clip up in some persons face rather than trancing around on some Chocobos back all day.
Yeah, maybe.
I don't know, I don't like trading in games.
If I started doing it now my collection would shrink to near nothing
I probably would. I'm getting tired of Multiplayer and I've never played a Final Fantasy game before so if such an offer came up, I would be very tempted to do so.
Yes because playing modern warfare feels more like a chore then actual fun the maps aren't that great it can get frustrating when one team starts to pull away and I don't see myself playing this game at all in the future no that I'm level 70
Yeah, No Doubt Whatsoever.....I probably will trade it (but for Bioshock II.) The real question here is.: If you could only play One of them, which would it be? And Yeah...I'd still go for Final Fantasy XIII. Then again, I bought MWII reluctantly (Cant rent in My country.), and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I enjoyed it, but not on My Top 10 of 2009 list.
Hahahaha, hells to the no.
I think you should clarify the question, would I trade in MW2 to get FF13, straight up, no more money needed?
Or would I trade having had MW2 come out for FF13 instead?
Either way, no. Hate FF and will keep hating it until they fix what is wrong with it. Namely not make it so Japanese.
That is absurd. MW2 is a multiplayer game with a solid two years of game play and community ahead of it to keep you busy. Final Fantasy XIII is another single player JRPG that you'll be able to buy for $20 or $30 after a few months. Why not just wait a little while and get it cheap and keep both?
I wouldn't... mainly because I could afford them all at some point or another (launch). And I already traded in MWII... for the Xbox version of MWII. I'm not trading that in again.
Also I would never trade a game with such a fun multiplayer and progression stuff built into it, potentially keeping me busy during the stale gaming months for another two years (like COD4 did), for a linear RPG with an ending.
Also I've heard so much scariness about this FF13 game that I think I'll have to dust off the ol' blockbuster card and give 'er a rent.
" Final Fantasy XIII is another single player JRPG that you'll be able to buy for $20 or $30 after a few months. "Hm, I hope that that's true. I don't follow the decline in prices of games, but is that usually the case? And more specifically, is that going to be the case for a really popular game like FFXIII (there's no doubt it's going to sell well)? It was crazy to me to see that CoD 4 was still priced at $59.99 USED over at EB Games when MW2 was sitting right next to it.
@Carlos said:
" Keep MW2 and rent FF13. "I love renting games. Thing is, I only rent games that I know I'll be able to finish in the short 7-day rental period. That's why I've not rented GTA IV or Tales of Vesperia. I'd definitely not be able to finish a game like FFXIII in that time frame (unless I rented it multiple times, I suppose)...
I would say the prices would go down pretty quickly, because it's an exclusively single player game with no replay value. Once the initial rush of buying the game subsides, people probably look to their low-replay value games like that first, when then wanna sell them. So there will probably end up having a crapload of used copies fast.
