Xbox live and PS3 online

Is it not time that we put aside our differences and joined together as one online community :P

Seriously half of my friends have PS3's and half have Xbox 360's, but I want to play with everyone, do you think there is any chance that Microsoft and Sony would merge the online, they did it with Final Fantasy 11 so why not for everything.

No, I don't think that will ever happen. Certain third party games will try to implement both online services together, but Sony and Microsoft will not have anything to do with it.

I doubt that will ever happen...ever...ever.

Because Capitalism wags its titanic, green finger at such an idea. 

Final Fantasy 11 is a gigantic mess of dedicated servers.

No doubt exorbitant amounts of money would be needed for this.
