So I was listening to an older bombcast thinking how silly it was that Jeff didn't enjoy Red Dead, because I thought that game was awesome. I realize everyone has their own opinions and tastes when it comes to games, which got me to thinking who from GB I have most incommon with when it comes to games. So I propose the question to you guys: Who are you gaming compatible with? Are you a Vinny? Jeff? Brad? Maybe even a Drew? And I apologize if this topic has been done before, just tell me and I will get rid of it, but I am interested in hearing what you guys have to say
You VS The Crew
probably Dave. I remember in grade 6 I played so much Baldur's Gate that my grades plunged and my dad hid the game discs from me.
In terms of games I enjoy, I don't really fit the profile of one of the crew. However in terms of play-style I'm without a doubt a 'Vinny'. I'll read every bit of throwaway text and I'll explore every nook and cranny of an environment.
none of them, really. I mean, with BIG games I feel like I'm pretty on par with them, but for lesser, middle-quality games, they seem to enjoy those a lot less than me- especially games like House of the Dead Overkill and Dead Space Extraction
No-one individually above all the others really ... a little from everywhere, and if like or dislike is shared it's often for different reasons than expressed.
Ryan/Vinny. I was just rewatching the Star Trek Online beta features and I was so happy when Ryan came on to tell Brad off for playing so badly.
I would say Vinny since he is so optimistic when it comes to games. It's very rare for me to find a game that I really dislike. Next would be Jeff since I also didn't like Limbo but I love MK.
I nearly always agree with Brads reviews. So mostly Brad... I have zero interest in Starcraft though.
In terms of game preferences I think I'm a Vinny/Brad. In terms of gameplay style I'm the same. I die so quick usually it's stupid.

Drew, because we both understand that Halo is the greatest game ever made. But I feel like more of a Jeff otherwise. Though I did like RDR quite a bit.
+1
But I'd be most compatible with a member who plays a multiplayer game regularly, along with some Single player campaigns. So I guess Drew or Brad, but probably Drew.
I agree where everyone is coming from at different times. Mostly I get the completionist bug that Vinny seems to get, too. I just want to see everything.
I'm a Vinny/Dave combo, though I'm not as a big fan of old RPGs as Dave is. [read: I hate most of them]

I too think Im a Vinny/Brad ... tho Im not as bad as they are ;) [aledgely anyway] , except that I do like complex (aka. guilty gear blazblue) fighting games , and fighting games in general. But I do not like LA Noir.
When Jeff and Vinny talk about a game I really tune in because their tastes align with mine most of the time. I have a PC but I really don't play on it as much as I should even though I want to use it more unless The Witcher 2, Dawn of War 2, or some obscure awesome PC game comes out.
I love how Ryan can appreciate unorthodox games so I'm always cautious. I love Bayonetta, Vanquish and Civ 5 though
Brad I find places too much importance on aesthetics for me. If a game has a great look and atmosphere that's great, but that should really just be the icing on the game. His review for Alan Wake really conflicted with what I actually got. I didn't the find the story that impressive at all and the atmosphere that was there got so undercut and butchered by their generic shooting.
