fear gauntlet is way better than anything the real staff have been doing
yeah, ive been loving it. the interns are doing some great stuff, they should keep up with it and the main staff should support them in it. fear gauntlet deserves to be on the front page.
I think Kessler is genuinely funny and good at what he does. I think with a little more experience, he could easily fit into the main cast. During the BC2 TNT a while back, he was freakin hilarious. Steve is great too, but he gives off an awkward vibe in front of the camera. Could use some more ironing out than Kessler, but I still think he does an okay job.
I would love for the fear gauntlet to be available on the site. Also the behind the scenes footage they do is awesome. Gotta give my respect to Kessler too, he can write a good review.
@BabyChooChoo: Steve is there more for behind the scenes recording/video/production stuff anyway, but I agree, although it is probably something that would disappear eventually...
But I like the interns and the videos they do, even if I don't watch them too often.
C. I did not at all enjoy the attitude of the first Farmville video of "We have these interns making video content so we don't have to." I'm not against intern content, but I don't come here for it and certainly don't enjoy seeing more intern content than staff content.
That being said, I really wouldn't be surprised if Bodega is full staff by the end of next year. And if that day comes, good for him. He does good work.
I don't really check out much of the content made by the interns however I think it's great they're being productive and making stuff. It's not as though I avoid it I just haven't really had the time. With the Bombcast, Quick Looks, and live video on the site I barely keep up as it is.
B. The intern content has been great lately. I also recently listened to all the Internal Affairs episodes, as I didn't bother with them when they where made. I instantly regretted that. Those half-hour podcasts rocked.
As many have already said The Fear Gauntlet is really good - it's currently my favourite feature on any of the Whiskey sites. Great concept, great attitudes and Matt and Steve seem to have some pretty solid chemistry going. I also think their behind the scenes stuff was really good too.
If they can keep producing this level of content then I'm all for it.
I find it extremely uninteresting. They are just not people I care about, and find they don't really have any kind of interesting personalities. So I don't watch them.
Not everything the interns do is amazing but enough of it is that it should be on the main website. I also wouldn't mind as a trial they bring in kessler for 30 minutes of the 2 hour podcast, then see what the reaction was. If they leave the interns seperate they could improve but I think they would be better, and get there faster, if they are allowed more into the "real" content.
Fear Gauntlet has been more entertaining than most of the (non-premium) content of late. That alone makes me choose option B. I welcome more Kessler/Steve content, specifically.
What happened to Betting the Farmville? Did I miss the ending, or did it just disappear?
I really like the Fear Gauntlet and the Interncast. I wasn't a huge fan of Farmville. Has Steve been in any quicklooks? I remember Kessler in a few but I don't recall Steve.
