  • I liked anime from about third to seventh grade. I'm not a fan anymore. That said, I do like some anime. I though the Animatrix was ok, Aeon Flux is good, and I liked the Cowboy Bebop movie and the first Ghost in the Shell movie, Spirited Away and Akira were good too. These movies tend to gravitate away from the loud, obnoxious, and kiddie anime that is on T.V. ...

Paved the road for modern medicine? They injected horse urine into people, and hung them upside down to see how long it would take them to die. Let's not even get into the concious vivisections.Modern medicine would be exactly where it is today without the "help" of Unit 731. These people were not researching medicine, they were making nasty weapons.

  • Link to the Past just feels too outdated. The nostalgic value is there, and it's certainly jam packed with content, but I liked many of the Gameboy Zeldas more than A Link to the Past. I tried to play it again recently, but it just feels too repetitive. Then again, perhaps I have played it too many times.

  • FengShuiGod replied to the topic My 360 died, but there is hope. in the Xbox 360 board.
So, my 360 got an E74 error. It's not covered under warranty, and it will cost me $100 to get it fixed/replaced by Milkcrosoft. If I get my refurb from Microsoft, it only has a 30 day warranty, and it will cost me $100.I was looking on Ebay, and for about the same price, I can get a used/refurb model with a controller and a year warranty from someone other ...

Here's an article about some "geeky" movies that had great potential, but turned out less than stellar. For those too lazy to click the link, the list is as follows:

1. The Mummy 3
2. A.I.
3. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
4. The Time Machine
5. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
6. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
7. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
8. Erik the Viking
9. Matrix 2/3
 and 10. Waterworld

What do you think of the list? Are there some movies that should be added, or some that don't belong?

In my opinion, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy doesn't deserve to be there, and I enjoyed the second Matrix movie, although it doesn't come close to the greatness of the original. If this list was made several weeks from now, I have a feeling the The Clone Wars would be up there. It looks absolutely horrible.

It's photography based, and it's more of a hobby than anything, but if you're interested check it out here. It's still under construction, but I think it's coming along.

After using the the Bomb  for a few days, I can definitively say that Giant Bomb is a great site. It surpasses any gaming site I have been a member of for many reasons. The two best features, IMO, are that it provides the user with the ability to edit game information in a Wikipedia like manner, and the staff and community are far above average.

The dedication of the staff is apparent with a quick stroll through the Giant Bomb homepage. Regular Bombcasts, reviews, and game coverage about the things that matter are just a few of the qualities that will keep this site a favorite of mine for years to come.

Despite the lack of moderators in the forums, things have been surprisingly civil. Of course, there are the occasional trolls and spammers, but for the most part they have seemed to disappear. So far the community has demonstrated un-moderated forums can display a level of maturity not found in the vast majority of other internet forums, especially those that are not moderated.

All in all I am impressed with the overall quality of the site, and it's future holds much promise (after all, this is just a beta).

Well, that's my two minute blurb for the day. Enjoy.

Forza 2 (X360)
I popped in Forza 2 at the begging of the week. Yeah, I'm late to the party, but who cares? In short: Forza 2 is awesome. The graphics are great, the sound is stellar, and the controls are solid.I had never played a realistic racing game before - my prior experience ...
